I offer comprehensive training in Hindustani vocal music with a strong emphasis on voice culture and systematic musical development. My teaching approach is designed to build a solid foundation while nurturing each student’s unique voice and musical expression.
The training begins with focused voice culture techniques, including breath control, pitch accuracy, and tonal clarity. Special attention is given to vowel practice, which helps in improving voice projection, resonance, and overall sound quality. Students are guided through structured alankar practice to strengthen their command over swaras, develop agility, and achieve better control across different scales.
As students progress, they are introduced to the concept of raag, where they learn the intricacies of melodic structures, note relationships, and emotional expression. Emphasis is placed on understanding the grammar of raag, including aroha-avaroha, pakad, and improvisation techniques, enabling students to sing with confidence and creativity.
I focus on making technical aspects of singing simple and easy to understand, ensuring that students not only practice but also develop a clear conceptual understanding of music. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and adaptable, making it suitable for both children and adults. Each lesson is customized according to the learner’s age, level, and pace, creating a comfortable and encouraging learning environment.
The goal of my training is not only to teach songs but to build strong fundamentals, enhance vocal ability, and develop a deep appreciation for Hindustani classical music.

Intermediate & Advanced (Hindustani Vocal Classical) This comprehensive course in Hindustani Classical Music is designed to guide students from developing proficiency to achieving performance-level mastery in vocal music. At the intermediate level, learners strengthen their understanding of raags and taals, practice traditional bandish compositions, and build essential skills in alap, bol-alap, and taans, with a strong focus on voice culture, pitch accuracy, and rhythmic control. Session Booking = 4 Weekly Live Lessons (1 Hour each).
This course in Hindustani Classical Music develops students from intermediate to advanced levels, focusing on raag development, bandish, improvisation (alap, taans), voice training, and advanced khayal singing, preparing them for confident stage performance.
